Sally Harris, is the Department of Education’s Senior Digital Strategist, overseeing the agency's strategic direction for digital roll outs. She is also content manager for several of the Department’s social media platforms and works closely with the studio team to develop a multitude of creative storytelling solutions. Prior to her time at ED, Sally spent several years in public affairs with the Department of Health and Human Services, managing digital products and program work for a variety of departmental and inter-agency initiatives including Stopbullying.gov and Usability.gov. Sally also led HHS’ adaptive and structured content program which aims to free digital content so it is accessible in any format on any device. Prior to her time at HHS, Sally spent 4 years with the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board where she served as a web manager for Recovery.gov, a website focused on providing American citizens an unprecedented level of transparency in federal spending. She began her federal career as a writer/editor for the Department of the Interior’s Inspector General, Earl Devaney. During her time with Interior she worked closely with insular and tribal nations.
